Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hi, I’m Lea, 25 years old, born in Berlin, and currently living in Byron Bay, Australia. I’m a mama to my beautiful boy Noa and expecting his little sister in July this year. I work as a model & artist (oil painting) and studied nutrition. I dedicate most of my life to beauty, health, and well-being found within ourselves, and nature.
You've recently moved to Australia from Germany. How has the transition been for you?
Very smooth, Byron has been so good for me and my family. It very much aligns with our lifestyle choices and priorities.
What are your favourite local plants of Byron Bay, and its subtropical region?
Macadamia trees and Tea trees.
What has motherhood taught you?
I had to learn to take care of myself first and that it’s ok to ask for help. I think because I became a mum young I put a lot of pressure on myself in the beginning, wanting to show everyone that I can do it all on my own.
How have you supported your body through pregnancy and how has your approach since changed, when it comes to what you put on your body?
I didn’t support my body well enough during my first pregnancy which left me very depleted. It inspired me to study nutrition and prepare for this second pregnancy differently. Right now, I work closely with my naturopath Reine, Dr. Oscar Serrallach, my Doula Nathalie and my own nutrition knowledge towards a well-nourished pregnancy and supported postpartum period. Generally, I don’t use any toxins on my skin, food, or around the house.
Can you share your favourite nutritious recipe to support body and mind?
The goal is always to include all macronutrients into one meal and have as many colours as possible on the plate. My go-to meal is fish, pumpkin and a big mixed salad.
I also love a good cup of bone broth on the side. My favourite snacks & mind food are berries.

ONE THING YOU ARE MOVING TOWARDS/ AWAY FROM: I’m learning to move away from wanting more, bigger, greater.. and being thankful and present in the now instead
